This weekend, you can't miss the Expo Rural.

Buenos Aires, July 2023 - The first weekend arrives with ideal weather for family outings and visiting the Rural Expo, which features new attractions for all ages. From 9 AM to 8 PM at La Rural.

Saturday and Sunday will be two days filled with judging, exhibitions, contests, and auctions of prominent cattle and equine breeds. In addition, the Central Track will host an exhibition by the Argentine Polo Association for the 135th Rural Expo Cup, taking place on Saturday the 22nd at 6 PM, and a horse parade this Sunday the 23rd at 7 PM. Furthermore, the Petisos Breeders Association will offer training on breed judging.

Each pavilion is a space to learn more about the wonderful world of the countryside: sheep, goat, and cattle exhibits can be visited in the Ochre Pavilion, where the demonstration dairy with pail milking will also take place at 11 AM, 1 PM, and 5:30 PM. Additionally, the little ones can learn how calves are fed.

In the Blue Pavilion, you'll find a complete exhibition of agricultural machinery, and it's also the meeting point for guided tours held every 20 minutes between 10 AM and 6 PM daily. Meanwhile, the Green Pavilion houses various stands with industry supplies, clothing, and food; and in the Yellow Pavilion, you'll see the major beef cattle exhibitors.

For the first time, the social entrepreneurship fair “Open Hearts” arrives on Saturday, the 22nd, from 11 AM to 8 PM with the participation of 28 foundations and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that will present their purposes and exhibit their products for sale, as well as an interreligious meeting, which is added to the mass that is held each year.

Additionally, those who visit the Rural Expo on the weekend can be part of the great Cooking Show, which this year features chef Felicitas Pizarro, who will be preparing gizzards, picanha, ribeye, flank steak, skirt steak, spider steak, roasted vegetables, chimichurri, and criolla on Saturday the 22nd; and on Sunday the 23rd, the specialty "asado con cuero" (roast with skin on) will be prepared by specialist Chano María, to showcase the flavors and aromas of the vast territory. Afterwards, there will be a tasting among those present.

To get to know the little ones of the family, this weekend and every day you can tour the outdoor farm, with Falabella horses, pigs, calves, alpacas, and sheep; enjoy rides on ponies and be part of “La Huerta de La Rural,” with workshops on gardening, composting, and biodiversity. Also, a must-visit for the curious is the Gaucho Corner.

Additionally, every corner of La Rural will feature complete proposals: the Federal Promenade, a must-see to learn more about entrepreneurs from each province of the country; a crafts space with the most characteristic items from each region: leatherwork, silversmithing, textiles, and more; the Gastronomic Patio with a varied open-air offering; and the 4x4 truck exhibitions, an attraction for all ages.
