This is how we lived it: Rural Expo 2023 in numbers

Buenos Aires, July 31, 2023.- Under the slogan Let's Live Our Thing, we celebrate the 135th edition from the International Livestock, Agriculture and Industry Exhibition with once journeys full of activities to promote the main activities of the field and regional industries that drive the country's economy.

More than 1,300,000 visitors they were able to explore different options, meet and interact with the more than 2,000 animals experts in our field and enjoy the best of every corner of the country with the proposal of 400 commercial exhibitors in agricultural machinery, 4x4 pickup trucks, industrial products and supplies, food, and apparel.

The Rural Expo 23 solidified itself as the epicenter of agricultural business with the Business Round organized by the Argentine Agency for Investment and International Trade. For two days, 80 Argentine companies of food and beverages held 180 meetings with 8 companies importers from the region and Europe to expand the national industry. In addition, they carried out 48 talks and training sessions with an attendance of 1,000 attendees, fostering technical-commercial exchange among industry professionals.

As one of the main new features, the “Open Hearts” Social Entrepreneurs Fair” drew 17,000 visitors who were able to learn about the products and purposes of 28 foundations and NGOs, also, a interfaith meeting to promote dialogue and peace. In a year with a strong electoral agenda, a space was organized for presidential pre-candidates to present themselves. The inaugural event, held on July 29, was attended by officials, diplomats, and sector leaders. Nicolás Pino, the president of the Rural Society highlighted the role of the countryside and advocated for an Argentina with state policies based on agreements.

It's time for mate again at La Rural: two days to celebrate the culture of Argentine mate and yerba

The fair organized by the National Yerba Mate Institute (INYM) and La Rural S.A. will take place on October 17 and 18 in the Ocre Pavilion of the Trade Fair Grounds and will bring together producers, cooperatives, brands, entrepreneurs, and mate lovers from all over the country.

La Rural presented the results of its first Organizational Carbon Footprint measurement: a total of 2,456 tons of CO₂ equivalent (tCO₂e) corresponding to the year 2025, considering Scopes 1, 2, and 3 as defined by the GHG Protocol and ISO 14.064-1.
