The 80th Fall Indoor Angus Show is coming up, a week packed with Angus!

The event will take place from June 3rd to 6th, at La Rural in Palermo, Buenos Aires Exhibition Center, organized by the Argentine Angus Association and La Rural S.A. Admission is free by accreditation, which will be available at angus.org.ar and on the Association's social media.

“The 80th Indoor Fall Angus Expo will be the most important livestock gathering in Argentina during 2023,” assured the president of the Argentine Angus Association, Alfonso Bustillo at the press conference to present the international event that will take place from June 3 to 6 at the Blue Pavilion of the La Rural exhibition center in Palermo.

Bustillo was accompanied by Carlos Solanet, commercial director of La Rural S.A; and Carlos Fernandez, secretary of the Argentine Angus Association, who spoke about the different activities.

From June 3rd to 6th, the 80th Angus Fall Indoor Exhibition will be held. This year, it will have an international call, at the La Rural de Palermo facilities, Buenos Aires fairgrounds, as part of the so-called Angus Fall Week. It will be the most important show in Argentine livestock, with more than 850 registered pedigree animals and auctions of more than 50,000 head of general cattle.

More than 90 participating ranches achieved an absolute record for the fall expo by registering over 850 animals, which are added to a busy agenda of activities, judging, auctions, and commercial exhibitors from across the entire sector.

“We are proud to once again present an exhibition to you in the first week of June, with La Rural S.A., and with the same format as last year's Centennial exhibition, but this time renewing it internationally, because starting with this autumn exhibition, the show will be international every year, allowing participation from exhibitors from neighboring countries,” said Bustillo.

“This year we have a stand from the Latin American Confederation of Angus Producing Countries (Colappa), which is very important because authorities from the associations of Uruguay, Brazil, Paraguay, Mexico, and Colombia will be present. This association that we Latin American countries have is to strengthen the exchange of genetics, work on regulatory issues, and facilitate exchange among young people between our countries. Therefore, Colappa's presence at our exhibition will be very welcome.

“We are also giving the exhibition a lot of strength, as always from our association, to federalization, as it is very important that all regions participate in the exhibition and our activities,” assured the president of Angus.

Bustillo also highlighted that during the Expo there will be “Certified Angus Beef available to the public, in order to close the entire production chain with industry and commerce through our premium product, which is beef as our global flagship.”.

For its part, Carlos Solanet, commercial director of La Rural SA, stated: “We thank the Argentine Angus Association for once again trusting La Rural S.A. to host this exhibition, achieving a format for business and interaction. From there came the idea of holding the autumn exhibition that has always taken place in the interior of our country, so bringing it to Buenos Aires was a very important undertaking. Thus, we decided to work again on this concept of an indoor exhibition, with the added bonus of international presence through Colappa.”.

“We will be starting with a format that includes commercial exhibitors, an indoor arena to avoid any inclement weather, and all animals will be in one place in the Blue Pavilion,” Solanet assured.

“The exhibition will be held from June 3rd to 6th next, as part of the so-called Angus Fall Week, with many auctions, starting on May 29th with a physical steer competition in Cañuelas, making the Central Market a part of this exhibition as well, as an essential part of the chain,” stated the Director of Rural SA.

For its part, Carlos Fernandez, secretary of the Argentine Angus Association, assured that “it is a very important effort for us as an Association and work team to recreate an event of these characteristics again, for which we are very grateful to our breeders, exhibitors, and brokerage firms who are accompanying us again, as the number of registered participants is quite impressive.”.

Fernández also highlighted the support of the sales companies that increased the number of auctions, both for pedigree breeding stock and general cattle. This will turn the Autumn Angus Week into an event with the largest economic mobilization of cattle for the entire year.
