Buenos Aires, July 1. – The event is organized by the Association of Housing Developers of the Argentine Republic Real Estate Developments – AEV, the Argentine Chamber of Construction – CAMARCO, and Argentine Construction Fairs and Exhibitions – EFCA, and it was the unmissable event for the sector, which this year was held under the slogan: “”Driving the Industry". It was met with a great public response, attracting thousands of visitors from across the country who were able to learn about the main trends driving the market.
This edition demonstrated that BATEV is the most outstanding event in the sector, where the main industry players and lovers of the latest trends in construction and housing gather to broaden perspectives and consider construction as a fundamental pillar for development. The most influential industry leaders, sector organizations, and the country's most relevant companies attended.
From the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the opening to the closing event—which included the celebration of Architect’s Day on Saturday, July 1—the atmosphere was one of business and opportunity. The construction industry is one of the driving forces of the Argentine economy, employing and generating more than 500,000 direct formal jobs and supporting approximately 150,000 professionals, technicians, and self-employed workers. It accounts for approximately 5 % of GDP and is one of the sectors with the broadest multiplier effect (ranging from 2 to 4 times across 150 productive sectors).
“As president of CAMARCO, I am delighted that the BATEV expo, a leader in construction and housing, has once again taken place. Once more, key professionals for the sector have gathered, and innovative products and solutions have been presented. With enthusiasm, we look forward to the next edition to continue strengthening the industry, promoting growth, and generating new opportunities for knowledge and collaboration.“, Gustavo Weiss, President of CAMARCO, highlights.
“We are very pleased to see that BATEV once again had a large number of stands and brands present this year, with all sectors of construction represented; and a record number of visits.
We are also very proud to have organized the AEV Lecture Series with two days featuring very rich panels, in-depth topics, and excellent attendance.
Above all, it was very positive to be able to convene all the chambers and professional associations in the value chain (CAMARCO, CEDU, SCA, CPAU, CPIC, CAI, and AEV) with whom we were able to reflect and develop a sectorial vision that points in the same direction, identifying difficulties and seeking possible solutions together. Finally, BATEV proves that it continues to be an excellent place to contemplate the reality of the sector and to network and do business,” analyzed Carlos Spina, President of AEV.
“Twenty-eight uninterrupted editions demonstrate that, even with the evolution of digital alternatives, face-to-face encounters remain important for both companies and professionals. This year, there were proposals for different ways to build, construction systems with various benefits such as being more energy-efficient, architecturally flexible, safe, and sustainable. Visitors also had the opportunity to tour a house project through virtual reality, thanks to computer technology. We are very pleased as we have surpassed the previous edition in visitor numbers. We look forward to seeing you at the next edition, which will take place from June 26 to 29, 2024,” stated Gabriel Pascual, President of EFCA.
The 28th edition featured over 10,000 square meters dedicated exclusively to showcasing the most innovative projects, sustainable materials, the latest technology, and construction systems; more than 155 exhibitors . The main players in the industry, professional leaders, and entrepreneurs gathered in one place.
With a focus on architects, engineers, developers, consultants, contractors, installers, distributors, designers, and authorities, BATEV has solidified its position as the benchmark event for entrepreneurs, experts, and the general public. In addition to showcasing a wide variety of products, the event served as a major meeting point that facilitated business opportunities, established professional connections, and offered relevant information for all participants involved in the design, planning, development, and construction of various types of projects.
