With a total result of 5.73 tCO2e, the event brought together nearly 400 media professionals and achieved an environmental participation rate of 51.4%, thereby establishing an event management model with a triple impact.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Buenos Aires, June 5, 2026<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 Within the framework of World Environment Day<\/strong>, La Rural presented the results of the Carbon footprint measurement<\/strong> generated during the meeting by Journalist's Day 2026<\/strong>, held on May 28 at El Central. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Environmental management, developed alongside Zeroma<\/a>, threw a total footprint of 5.73 tons of CO<\/strong>\u2082<\/strong> equivalent (tCO<\/strong>\u2082<\/strong>e)<\/strong>, which represents a 19.75 kg of CO intensity<\/strong>\u2082<\/strong>e<\/strong> by assistant. The measurement considered variables such as mobility, energy consumption, catering, logistics, and general event operation.<\/strong> The results showed that the the main source of emissions was associated with food and beverages<\/strong>, representing approximately 75% of the total footprint<\/strong>, followed by the mobility of attendees, at 21.5%<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than half of the attendees <\/strong>real voluntarily completed a survey on their transportation to the event<\/strong>, allowing you to know theEnvironmental agreement related to your travel<\/strong>. In turn, the participants received personalized information about the emission level generated by their mobility<\/strong> and they had the possibility to Sponsoring trees as a complementary socio-environmental action.<\/strong>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This first experience<\/strong> in situ<\/em><\/strong> <\/em>allowed to give a important step in the environmental management of La Rural's events<\/strong>: measure the impact to understand, manage, and raise awareness among attendees.<\/strong> The challenge for the upcoming editions will be advance on the main identified emission sources<\/strong>, incorporating concrete measures for reduction and deepening the path towards the goal <\/strong>Net Zero 2050<\/em><\/strong>.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This action is in addition to other initiatives promoted by La Rural, as renewable energy generation through more than 1,100 solar panels<\/strong> and the implementation of Waste separation and recovery programs.<\/strong> This way, the company continues to consolidate a sustainability strategy<\/strong> based on the continuous improvement<\/strong> and in the construction of a event industry increasingly responsible, efficient, and innovative.<\/strong> <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
